IMU had certainly provided me with a strong foundation. The knowledge I had gained in IMU had made the transition to my clinical years easier. More importantly, in IMU I had learnt a lot through the co-curricular activities I was involved in and the people I had met. This helped me grow as a person and build my confidence to carry on even after leaving the country.
FiS prepared me not only to become a medical student but a holistic individual. Although self-directed learning was implemented slowly, we had good guidance from lecturers who were very helpful. I personally feel that it was not all work, we had fun especially during the Cross Boundaries Studies. The module promoted critical thinking skills and served as a platform for us to learn all the qualities that a team player and a physician should have, such as punctuality, responsibility, trustworthiness and commitment.
