

Rules and Regulations
- The IMU SDC2025 is a nationwide inter-school Quiz Competition which is organised by IMU University, from now on referred to as the “Organisers”.
- The quiz consists of questions that assess the students’ understanding in the fields of science, including Biology, Chemistry, Physics related chapters in all major curriculum.
- Participants from all levels will be awarded with the e-Certificate of Participation and the winners in the Finale will be awarded with e-Certificates of Achievement.
- The Quiz Format
There will be two (2) categories in the Quiz:
a) Secondary Level / O level or equivalent
*SPM 2024 graduates who have not started pre-u programme can register under school category)
b) Pre University Level / A level or equivalent
Round 1 - Preliminary Round
- The Quiz will be in the format of Multiple-Choice Questions.
- You are required to complete 50 questions within the time frame of 60 minutes.
- Maximum of 2 attempts are allowed during the preliminary period. Highest marks from the 2 attempts will be taken for Grand Finale.
- You are being assessed on both time spent and accuracy of the test.
- In the case of a student not completing the quiz within the time limit, the quiz will be submitted based on what has been answered.
Round 2 – The Semi Final & Grand Finale
- Top 300 individuals from Preliminary Round for each category will be qualified into the Grand Finale.
- Grand Finale will be conducted via online, where Grand Finalist can join in from their own respective place.
- A total of 30 questions for the competition will be answered on computer-based system for Grand Finale.
- Grand Finalist will receive a Grand Finale kit after the Grand Finalist is announced.
5. Quiz Participants
Secondary Level:
- Open to all Malaysian and international students residing and studying in Malaysia. Eligible participants include Form 4/5 or equivalent level students attending schools established in Malaysia, whether following a local or international curriculum. Participation is on an individual basis.
Pre- University Level:
- Open to all Malaysian and international students attending Pre-University level studies in high school, government /private institution or home schools with an establishment based in Malaysia. Course Example: STPM, SM3, Yr12, A-Levels, SACE, AUSMAT, Foundation, Diploma, Matriculation, Canadian Pre-U or equivalent courses. Participation is on an individual basis.
6. Registration
- The IMU SDC 2025 registration is FREE for all participants.
- All participants must register and complete the quiz within a time limit set by the organiser, failing to do so will result in disqualification.
- All participants must fill in their details accurately as the information provided will be translated into the information we use for certificates.
7. General
- Students are only allowed to participate in one category and participate in the quiz once only.
- Should you be found breaching any of the Rules & Regulation, the organiser reserves the right to disqualify any participant with no prior notice.
- The organiser reserves the right to amend any competition details which is deem suitable without any prior notice.
