Mini Garden

Time: 2:00pm - 3:00pm

Limited to: 20 participants

Fees: RM 10.00 per participant /per workshop 

Facilitator: Fairul Rafiq is an experienced flower designer who has participated in various floral arrangement competitions over the past 20 years. He won the third prize in the Singapore Flower Fest in 2010 and second in the Floria Putrajaya 2013 event. 

This workshop will help you to identify the indoor and outdoor plants that are suitable for a mini garden. You will also learn to create a mini garden and identify the organic potting soil for a miniature garden.

Clay Miniatures

Time: 11:00am - 12:00pm

Limited to: 20 participants

Fees: RM 10.00 per participant /per workshop 

Facilitator: Mr. Tan Chee Koon is the founder of Clay Time, which he started 4 years ago. He chose clay as an art medium since it is flexible, non-toxic and can be shaped into 2D and 3D models. ClayTime’s slogan is Learn, Create, Play. Clay can be easily handled by children and nurtures their imagination.

Learn how to create a cartoon character using clay. 

Cosplay 101

Time: 2:00pm - 3:00pm

Limited to: 25 participants

Fees: RM 10.00 per participant /per workshop 

Facilitator: Muhammad Farid bin Sohaimi started creating cosplay from paper box material in 2007. By 2012 he had mastered using EVA foam. He has experience making GRIMLOCK transformers and indie characters. He won 2nd place at gameplay mini Cf 2016. 

Gain basic knowledge on how to make a prop using EVA foam.

Origami for Beginners

Time: 11:00am - 12:00pm (Registration Closed) / 2:00pm - 3:00pm

Limited to: 30 participants per workshop

Facilitator: Kenneth Chng is the founding President of Malaysia Origami Association and Origami Academy. He is a seasoned veteran from the semiconductor industry, having contributed to numerous overseas assignments. He pioneered origami education in both the technology field as well as the artistic field in Malaysia.   

Learn step-by-step paper folding techniques originating from the Japanese culture.

The A, B, C before the D

Come learn some essential foundation of dancing explained through a few popular party dances. Try out some simple movements and see how a little A, B, C gets you performing in no time!

Facilitator: Lim Sae Min is the principal of I Dance Studio. He has been teaching modern ballroom dancing, Latin America, line dancing and disco freestyle, among others, since 2000. Sae Min has won several established dance competitions over the past years. 

Tuning Towards Better Leadership

Dancing has come a long way as we progress through different environments. Let us see how ballroom & line dancing, perhaps still considered mostly for senior citizens, brings out the potential in you.

Facilitator: Sudarshan Nair is an experienced actor having worked with The Bubblegum Project (2012-2014) and currently is an actor and publicist with Big Nose Productions. He has performed in various stage adaptations and competed in Short+Sweet Stand Up Comedy, Musical and Theatre categories. He recently directed a new series by Big Nose Productions, Tales from the Jamban, an original Malaysian theatre series which was just released in March 2017. 

Character Acting and Expression 

Children’s Art Workshop (6-10 years only) 

Time: 11:00am - 12:00pm (Registration Closed) / 2:00pm - 3:00pm

Limited to: 30 participants per workshop

Fees: RM 10.00 per participant /per workshop 

Facilitator: Artists from Nomadica Art Space 

Note: Parents/Guardians are requested to wait outside the workshop area and are not allowed to join the workshop. All children must be toilet trained.

Through a mixed media process, we will be arranging paper cuts, magazines, newspapers and paint to create scenarios with landscapes, people and lots of colours by mixing and merging different materials to create contemporary art pieces for kids.
